Most human beings feel pain — you are not alone in your pain pattern even though yours may be more severe than other individuals.
Pain is your body’s way of indicating that something needs attention. There are several theories to justify pain. It could be physical, emotional, behavioral, cognitive related, affective related, motivational, a result of a well described event, a somewhat relationship to some event from your past… who knows? There are many factors that can contribute to your pain.
Most of the pain related scales do not answer the questions about your own specific pain. Is it possible to measure your pain from 0 to 10? It probably will be a random number and if I were to ask 5 people with the same amount of pain, they may very likely tell me five different numbers. What it is important in the diagnosis of any issue is to know the location, frequency, intensity, pain pattern, what makes it better, what makes it worse.
Pain is unable to be quantified and or qualified. It is difficult to be describe, much like love, hate, anger, happiness, or sadness.
Recognizing the source of pain helps significantly the outcome of treatment. Understanding the various contributors to the patient’s distress can be used to develop a personalized treatment plan for the pain management. Try to keep a journal. Make sure that you write: location, intensity, frequency, quality, sensitivity to external factors, and amount of time it persists. This will help your health practitioner to develop a better treatment plan.
One more important point is that you should not compare the severity of your pain with your friends, spouse, or coworkers. Your pain is yours.
Wrapping up today’s blog, please make sure that you are also sleeping well, eating well, doing general exercises, doing breathing exercises and overall taking care of yourself.

Sometimes you feel that you want to pull out your hair due to your headache or that annoying buzzing on your ear. Don’t worry! There is light at the end of the tunnel and it is not another train.
It is estimated that at least 12% percent of the adult population suffer from migraines and more than 50 million individuals will have at least one episode of headache during the year. Nearly 1 in 4 Americans will experience headaches or migraines during a year. Children also can get headache/migraine. Sometimes the migraine episode will manifest as a vestibular component such as dizziness, vertigo and Tinnitus.
Some Headaches and Migraines episodes are a result of a biomechanical fault caused by stress related, disturbances on the temporal mandibular joint, lack of postural control, after a whiplash episode, a cervical disk involvement or sleep disturbances.
